Christopher Wemp graduated from Sant​a Clara University with a Bachelor of Music (piano, composition, choral conducting), Master of Educational Leadership, and a Master of Theological Studies (Jesuit School of Theology, Berkeley). His trilingual composition “God is Always With Us” was the 3000+ attendee Santa Clara Faith Formation Conference 2017 theme song.

Wemp has also engaged in liturgical music research, leadership, and collaborations in El Salvador, Peru, Colombia, India, and Kenya. Wemp continuously seeks international collaboration opportunities in a spirit of solidarity, faith sharing, and friendship, with particular interest in learning from the musical tradition of each place he visits.

In addition to composing, Wemp is passionate about strengthening leadership skill in liturgical musicians, particularly youth and young adults who desire meaningful leadership roles in parish music contexts.
