This beautiful refrain was composed for the Easter Vigil, and can be sung repeatedly as the congregation receives and shares the light of Christ from the Paschal candle. It can also be used during Advent, or, if the optional Song of Simeon verses are cantored as the choir sings the "Lumen Christi" refrain, for Christmas season or funerals.
